Greene, a Republican who represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district, posted the 17-second video to social media site Gettr and used some curse words in her criticism.
The video appears to have been filmed in a gym and Greene was wearing workout clothes as she addressed her comments to the camera. In her post, she addressed the video “To WEAK Joe Biden.”
Greene wrote that her message was from “From STRONG PATRIOTIC America!” and added a U.S. flag and flexing muscle emoji.
In the video, she said: “Joe Biden, you’re not a president, you’re a piece of s***.”
“Thousands of Americans are stuck over there in Afghanistan and you’re letting the Taliban kick your ass while you’re lecturing governors about mask and vaccines,” Greene said.
“Do your job. Bring these Americans home,” she added.
Biden administration officials reportedly informed Senate staffers on Tuesday that up to 15,000 Americans are still in Afghanistan following the Taliban’s rapid takeover of the country.
The U.S. is working to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan but the administration has faced criticism for its response to the Taliban’s advancement and the fall of the capital Kabul.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters at the White House on Tuesday: “The Taliban have informed us that they are prepared to provide the safe passage of civilians to the airport, and we intend to hold them to that commitment.”
“We are getting people through the gate, we are getting them lined up, and we are getting them on planes, but this is an hour-by-hour issue,” Sullivan said.
Greene has said she is drafting articles of impeachment against President Biden over the situation in Afghanistan. She told Steve Bannon’s War Room Pandemic podcast on Monday that “my team right now working on articles of impeachment.”
“Because I’m so disgusted with Joe Biden. You know I’ve already filed one set of articles of impeachment. But his failure as a president is unspeakable,” Greene said.
Biden told ABC News on Wednesday that U.S. troops may stay in Afghanistan after the August 31 deadline for withdrawal if necessary to evacuate remaining U.S. citizens.
“If there’s American citizens left, we’re going to stay until we get them all out,” Biden said.
The president has defended his decision to push ahead with the planned troop drawdown from Afghanistan after 20 years in the country and chaotic scenes as the Taliban have seized control.
“The idea that somehow, there’s a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing, I don’t know how that happens,” Biden said on Wednesday.
Newsweek has asked the White House for comment.
