Richt, a Miami alumnus, and Georgia parted ways at the end of November after 15 seasons. He accepted the vacant head coaching position at Miami less than a week later.
Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart was introduced as Georgia’s head coach on Dec. 6.
As for the Hurricanes basketball team, No. 17 Miami was a 66-55 winner over in-state rival Florida at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables.
