Lynch has been rumored to be considering retirement after an injury-plagued season in which he finished with 417 yards on 111 carries and three touchdowns, adding 20 yards on six carries in a NFC divisional playoff loss to the Panthers.

His performance this season was a significant drop after averaging 295 carries a year and rushing for more than 1,200 yards while recording at least 11 touchdowns in four straight seasons for the Seahawks from 2011-14.

Lynch signed a two-year contract extension worth $24 million before this season. If he opts for retirement, he could owe the Seahawks $5 million in bonuses. He turns 30 in April.

Should he decide to retire, the five-time Pro Bowl performer would finish his NFL career with 9,112 rushing yards and 83 total touchdowns.
