Police in Taneytown, Maryland, have warned their residents to clothe themselves before stepping outside, and it appears to be an ongoing problem… or maybe it’s just another bit from the Taneytown Police Department, but more on that in a moment. A Facebook post by the police department, posted on Tuesday, tells residents to get it together—and fast.

“Please remember to put pants on before leaving the house to check your mailbox,” it begins.

The department seems to have at least one particular person in mind, too. “You know who you are,” the message concludes. “This is your final warning.”

It’s not clear who, exactly, is the pantsless mail fetcher, but people in the comments appear to have some ideas. The post has been shared upwards of 2,000 times, and even national comments have started.

A “top fan” of the page—meaning someone who actively comments and follows the Taneytown Police Department’s Facebook activity—was the first to comment. “One time. Why y’all gotta be like that,” wrote Dan Glass.

Another responded. “I’ll tell my husband; so sorry you had to see that,” wrote Tarah Cook Myers.

This isn’t the first time that the Taneytown Police Department has had a corona-related problem. They’ve had 99 to be exact, according to an April 7 post. “New Police Problem: With everybody wearing masks we can’t determine if you’re trying to #StopTheSpread or rob the store,” the Facebook page joked. “#Got99Problems.”

The police department clearly leads with a sense of humor. Another Facebook post from Tuesday night shows skillful use of a Bitmoji icon while warning residents to make sure they lock their cars and windows every night. “Are you for real?” the seemingly frustrated, comic-style cop says. It’s just one of a series: Scroll through the page and you’ll find a list of hilarious, animated reactions.

The department even posted a Tiger King meme, implying the job they want is to work with exotic animals rather than humans.

But regardless of whether this latest message is a goof or not, please remember to put on pants when you leave the house. Like the police in Taneytown have said, you’ve been warned.
