Maryland freshman Destiny Slocum stole the spotlight at the end of the first half in the No. 3 seed Terrapins’ second round game against No. 6 seed West Virginia on Sunday, heaving an overhead buzzer-beater from well past halfcourt.

The make gave Maryland a 38-24 lead heading into the half.

Slocum has been impressive in her first collegiate season, averaging more than 11 points and six assists per game. But this was clearly her best highlight yet.
