Line: Pick ’em, Total: 137.5 (current NCAA Tournament spreads and totals)

Maryland Record: 28-6 ATS: 13-16-2 O/U 13-15 Overview: Maryland’s streak of six straight wins against the spread came to an end with its 3-point victory over Valparaiso in the second round as a 5-point favorite. Sunday’s game is a pick ’em, and the Terps have thrived in games with tight spreads, going 5-2 ATS when the line is between a pick ’em and 2.5, including 3-0 ATS of their last three opportunities.  For some frame of reference on Sunday’s matchup, Maryland (+4.5) beat Iowa State 72-63 at a neutral site in November.  After a 7-2 trend to the UNDER, three of Maryland’s last four games have gone OVER the total.

West Virginia Record: 24-9 ATS: 18-13 OVER/UNDER: 15-11 Overview: The Mountaineers have covered six of their last eight games, including as 4.5-point favorites in a 68-62 win vs. Buffalo on Friday.   That game ended a streak of four straight OVERs for WVU.

The Linemakers’ lean: This game is a pick ’em in every sense of the word, and it’s our least favorite game of the day, but we do offer a small lean toward Maryland because the Terps will have the two best players on the court – Melo Trimble and Dez Wells. Small lean to Maryland.
