To that end, caddie Lorne Duncan was banned from carrying the bag for English amateur Matthew Fitzpatrick this week. A report from BBC.com disclosed the decision that's afoot in Georgia.

To his credit, Fitzpatrick took the slight in stride.

"It doesn't bother me," Fitzpatrick said. "I'm very happy to be here and look forward to the week with an experienced caddie on the bag."

He found a new bagman in Ricky Elliott of Northern Ireland, who usually totes from American pro Brooks Koepka.

Duncan, it's reported, can't wear shoes because of a foot condition. But Masters masters have rules that bar him unless his feet are properly shod.
