Bettors could have had 20-1 on him long ago, 10-1 on Wednesday — and many did, because he was the most bet golfer — and 9-4 after the first round, but if you believe the Spieth magic will continue, you now will have to lay $9 to win $5, which shows up as -180 on the board. It’s an almost unheard-of price halfway through the Masters and is equivalent to odds on multiple Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw at Arizona on Saturday against a rookie starter.

Only three players have had a five-stroke lead at the Masters through 36 holes, and in each case they won the tournament – Raymond Floyd was the last to do it in 1976. In 1997, when Tiger Woods dominated the field to win his first Masters, he only had a three-stroke lead through 36 holes and was nine strokes ahead after 54 holes before winning by 12 strokes.

Woods finished Friday 3 under and is now 2 under for the tournament. He also is above the cut line. The Westgate price on him making the cut was -120. Woods, down 12 strokes, is listed at 80-1 to win in the updated odds.

According to the Westgate odds, Dustin Johnson, who is seven strokes behind, has the best shot of winning other than Spieth at 8-1. Johnson is also listed as a -130 favorite to have a better third-round score than Spieth (+110). Both Johnson and Spieth have a third-round total set at 70.5.

Former UNLV golfer Charley Hoffman remains second on the board at 9 under, but is listed at 15-1 to win along with Justin Rose (-7), Paul Casey (-7) and Phil Mickelson (-6).
