She made the announcement via Instagram Sunday, saying, “This Easter is the beginning of a new life for me. I wanna take a second to thank all of you for all the prayers. They have worked. I know they have.”

Kelly Stafford, who announced earlier this month that she had a benign brain tumor, had been told to expect about six hours of surgery. But after the operation began, the surgeon discovered an abnormal vein. She noted on Instagram that such a situation may be “abnormal for other neurosurgeons, but not the one we chose. He had seen it before and written a paper on it. That’s truly God’s work. The prayers for my family, I’m beyond thankful for.”

The Staffords, who met while attending the University of Georgia, married in 2015. They have three daughters.
