The PSG forward has already served one game of his ban, and thus will only miss the encounter with Strasbourg on February 17.

Mbappe was sent off after a late tackle on Rennes’ Ismaila Sarr, in his side’s 3-2 victory, and the 19-year-old accepted the decision of the referee after the game.

“Yes, I agree with the referee’s decision,” said Mbappe in the mixed zone. “Of course, it is a red card.

“What I did not agree with was what had gone on before but it is not a serious issue, this is all part of football.

“There is no need to talk about the referees, they do their job and ours is to play. I did not do my job today and I was dismissed. That is all.”

Mbappe has enjoyed a prolific season at Parc des Princes, scoring 15 goals in all competitions since his loan move from AS Monaco. The deal will become permanent this summer for a fee of €180 million.

PSG are currently 11 points clear of Monaco at the top of Ligue 1, while they will face Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16.
