Breakfast: 61 percent of respondents said they eat pastry and/or doughnuts.

Lunch: 48 percent eat at fastfood restaurants twice a week or more. Of those who do eat salads, most said they pour on high-fat dressings.

Dinner:. For at least 75 percent of respondents, this is a high-calorie, high-fat meal. Most popular dishes: fried chicken and casseroles heavy on butter, sour cream or cheese.

Snacks: 40 percent acknowledged frequent consumption of potato chips, corn chips and similarly high-fat, low nutrition foods.

Coffee: 25 percent drink up to six cups a day.

Tobacco: 83 percent had never smoked at all. Of those who did, 15 percent quit 10 years ago, leaving smokers at just 2 percent of the sample.

Alcohol consumption: 1.8 percent drink with any frequency.
