The series, which boasts spinoffs Life After Lockup and Love During Lockup, began in 2018 and follows the lives of recently released felons and their significant others.
Love After Lockup will return to WE tv on Friday, December 16, with 10 new 90-minute-long episodes.
This season, four new couples, plus two fan favorites from past seasons of Love During Lockup, will take the drama to the next level with “deeper love, bigger doubts, even more mystery, and unique firsts,” per WE tv.
Viewers will see the couples navigate everything from first touch and kiss, to moving in together, to meeting the family, all while trying to maintain romance beyond prison walls.
Once again there will be debate among the cast over whether the relationships are the real deal, but fans will need to watch to discover which lovebird and jailbird pairings can make it last.

Love After Lockup Season 4 Cast
Aris and Cameron
From: Tampa, Florida
Cameron is a musician who first attracted Aris when she became a fan of his work and “slipped into his DMs.” Aris is eager for Cameron’s release and to begin their new life together but has concerns about his rap career and large fanbase of women.
Ashley and Travis
From: Port St. Lucie, Florida
Jeweler Ashley and convicted bank robber Travis have been together for four years but haven’t seen each other for two of those. Following his release Ashley is excited to show Travis her home in Florida, where she plans to employ her partner at her jewelry business.
Monique and Derek
From: Chicago, Illinios
Monique and Derek have been together for two years but are yet to meet in person. The couple met through a Facebook pen-pal group but Monique is worried about their first meeting and how Derek will react to her after she lied about sharing his passion for fitness.
Nathan and Skylar
From: Zanesville, Ohio
Nathan met Skylar through her ex but while she has been in prison Nathan has started started planning to ask her to marry him.
Gabby and Chris
From: Union, New Jersey
Love During Lockup fans will recognise Gabrielle and Chris from the show’s first season. After Chris won a $100,000 settlement, from an injury during his sentence at Rikers, Gabby has upgraded her apartment, undergone plastic surgery, and bought herself a luxury car and engagement ring.
Now that Chris is set to be released Gabby must contend with his mom and sister for his attention.
Justine and Michael
From: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Justine and Michael, from season two of Love During Lockup, now need to see if their prison marriage can survive in the real world.
Justine and her three kids have moved to a bigger home in Pennsylvania to make room for Michael and his own four children. Will the families be able to blend as harmoniously as they hope?
