The white ball numbers were 20, 43, 51, 55 and 57, while the yellow Mega Ball was 4 and the Megaplier was 2x.
Four lucky ticket holders won the second prize of $1 million, one of whom purchased the Megaplier and scooped $2 million.
Fifty-one players matched four balls plus the Mega Ball, winning them $10,000 each. Eight of those opted for the Megaplier, which won them $20,000 each.
There were 1,051 ticket holders who matched four balls, which earned them $500 each. Of those, 198 players won the Megaplier prize of $1,000.
There were also 2,884 winners who matched three white balls, each winning $200, with 459 of those players winning the Megaplier prize of $400.
The next Mega Millions draw will be on January 8 at 11 p.m. ET for an estimated jackpot prize of $490 million, with a cash-value option of $372.3 million.
There were no grand prize winners in last Friday’s draw. But one player in Texas matched the first five white balls, minus the Mega Ball, winning $1 million. If the player had purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1, their prize would have been $5 million.
The Mega Millions drawing on Christmas Day also had no winners of the $352 million jackpot.
However, three players—one each in New Hampshire, New York and Texas—matched the five white balls to win $1 million.
The most recent jackpot winner was in Wisconsin on September 15, for a prize worth $120 million.
Jackpot winners last year include a $372 million ticket sold in Mentor, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and a $227 million ticket sold in Cedar Park, a suburb north of Austin, Texas.
How to play Mega Millions
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from balls numbered 1 through 25.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play. If no one wins the jackpot, the money is added to the top prize for the following draw.
Most states offer a Megaplier option, which costs an additional $1 per play and increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times. Before each Mega Millions drawing, the Megaplier is drawn from a pool of 15 balls. Five of these balls are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X.
The odds of winning with a $2 Mega Millions ticket are 1 in 303 million. See the Mega Millions website for more information.
