Did anyone win the Mega Millions draw?

Nobody won the jackpot last night so it will roll over to Friday night’s draw when it will be worth an estimated $200 million with a cash-value option of $161.8 million. Nobody won the $1 million prize by matching all five numbers in last night’s draw either.

However, 12 people matched four numbers and the Mega Ball to win $10,000, with four of these winners multiplying their prize to $30,000 using the Megaplier.

More than 270 Mega Millions players won $500 each by matching four numbers and 60 of these winners won $1,500 using the Megaplier. Additionally, 750 players won $200 by matching three numbers and the Mega Ball, and 128 of these winners used the Megaplier to win $600.

Hundreds of thousands of players won smaller prizes in the Mega Millions draw on Tuesday night, ranging from $2 to $30. More than 30,000 players won $10 by matching either three numbers or two numbers and the Megaplier and more than 6,000 of these winners won $30 by using the Megaplier.

More than 122,000 players won $4 by matching one number and the Mega Ball and nearly 24,000 of these winners used the Megaplier to multiply their prize to $12. Finally, more than 300,000 players won $2 by matching just the Powerball with nearly 60,000 of these winners multiplying their prizes to $6 with the Megaplier.

How to play Mega Millions

The next Mega Millions lottery draw will take place on Friday, May 1, at 11 p.m. ET. To play the Mega Millions, players must purchase a ticket from a licensed lottery retailer before an hour or two of the draw, as the time sales end varies by lottery jurisdiction.

The Mega Millions lottery draw can be played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some states allow residents to play the lottery online or via a subscription, so players should check their lottery jurisdiction’s website to see what’s available to them.

When buying a ticket, a player should choose five different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (the gold Mega Ball). Alternatively, a player can have the lottery terminal choose the numbers randomly.

Due to changes in consumer behavior caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the way the Mega Millions jackpot is calculated has changed. Therefore, the starting jackpot will be determined by sales and will be announced before each drawing.
