The Mets were leading 1-0 through five innings Sunday, but gave up five runs in the sixth inning, immediately after Harvey was pulled, and six more later on. Much has been made about Harvey’s innings limit, yet it’s worth noting that only four pitchers have reached 200 innings pitched in a season coming off Tommy John surgery.
Harvey is 12-7 with a 2.80 ERA and 171 strikeouts in 176 2/3 innings pitched this season.
