Olsen arrived at Miami last season as one of the top-rated pro-style quarterback recruits in the country. He used the season as a redshirt and fell behind Brad Kaaya and Jake Heaps in the battle for the starting position. Kaaya earned the starting job and Heaps entered the season as the backup.
