Phelps is an 18-time gold medalist swimmer, most in Olympic history. He started seeing Johnson, who was 2001’s Miss California USA, eight years ago, according to the Daily Mail of London. The couple had an on-and-off relationship before reuniting late last year.

On Sept. 30 of last year, Phelps was arrested for a second DUI in Baltimore. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and received 18 months’ supervised probation and a one-year suspended jail sentence. He also entered rehab in October.
On Feb. 6, Phelps announced that he planned to return to competition in April.
