As a redshirt senior who has already graduated, Countess can transfer and play immediately in 2015. He was the first recruit under former head coach Brady Hoke back in 2011, and earned All-Big Ten honors as a redshirt sophomore in 2013, when he registered six interceptions.

Countess’ departure comes one day after receiver/kick returner Dennis Norfleet left the team. Likely to replace Countess in some fashion is ex-Stanford DB Wayne Lyons, who Michigan added as a graduate transfer earlier this week.
