Concession prices are expectedly higher at professional sporting venues, especially in places like Miami. But during the game between the hometown Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, one fan handed over their credit card to a beer vendor as if it were any ordinary purchase. That is, until they received a notification through their phone about an abnormal purchase. One for $724 for a couple of brews. According to the Miami Herald, roving beer vendor Nathaniel Collier brought two beers to a fan and swiped their card, but not one authorized through the Dolphins or Hard Rock Stadium....

The woman, who was not named, told CBS Miami that she had recently returned to Florida after a week in northern Italy, where a number of towns have been locked down as the country deals with the biggest outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in Europe. The woman said she feared being trapped in the country, so flew home to Miami with a stopover in Madrid on February 26. She said she was feeling unwell as she left Italy that morning, suffering from a severe sore throat, a headache and a mild cough....

On Tuesday, filings disclosed by Burry’s hedge fund, Scion Asset Management, showed the firm selling 1.7 million shares of GameStop in the fourth quarter. According to Forbes, Burry’s 1.7 million shares of GameStop accounted for around 5.3 percent of the company. “At GameStop’s Reddit-fueled high of $483, Burry’s maximum holding could have been worth over $1.5 billion,” Forbes reported. While Burry sold his shares of GameStop prior to its surge in late January, he was likely still able to profit, as GameStop’s share price traded between $10 and $20, which was over five times the cost of the stock when Burry first purchased....
