Ms. Marvel is set to air its season finale on Wednesday, just under a week after the release of the fourth Thor movie, Love and Thunder. Martique Cabral Vanderpool, 32, of Fairmount Heights, Maryland was first arrested following an investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department in 2019 but now faces an additional indictment of deprivation of civil rights under color of law—a federal criminal charge used against law enforcement when they allegedly use their power to violate another person’s rights or privilege. Additionally, school districts would have to send a description of lesson plans and programs on genocide instruction to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education every year....

A fuel tank at a power plant near the city of Norilsk collapsed last Friday, releasing more than 20,000 tonnes of diesel oil into the Ambarnaya river in the Krasnoyarsk region and has so far contaminated a 135-square mile area. President Vladimir Putin has declared a state of emergency. Norilsk was built on permafrost and its infrastructure is susceptible to melting ice caused by climate change, The Moscow Times reported....
