Patrick then asked him to clarify that he actually held back, and Vick responded, “Yeah. But we was probably up by 20, 30 points, so there was reasoning for it.” While it’s always proper etiquette in the NFL to not bury your opponents, it’s still upsetting we were robbed of seeing more of the Michael Vick Experience....

The former First Lady, 59, shared how her relationship with her children has changed in her new memoir, The Light We Carry. In the book’s sixth chapter, titled Partnering Well, Obama described how she felt “charmed” when her two daughters decided to become roommates while living in Los Angeles. MPFA founder and chairperson Deborah Schutt said the gargantuan achievement happened through shelters getting pets back to their original owners, adopted or released to foster care or rescue organizations. She also said the task was not easy with so many shelters in the state. “This is an amazing first for our state,” Schutt said in this report by NBC’s TV 6 in the Upper Peninsula. “When the shelters in a state combine to meet the 90 percent target, that state is considered ‘No-Kill’ for shelter animals....

Michigan’s athletic department is partnering with the school’s depression center and school of public health. Former Michigan football player Will Heininger says this issue is important to athletes across the country, who are under a lot of pressure and are sometimes afraid to speak out. Daniel Eisenberg, an associate professor at the school of public health, says student-athletes might be more vulnerable to significant mental health problems because in sports, toughness and resiliency are often emphasized....

Democrats had hoped to flip the Senate as well as the White House, with forecasts and polling suggesting it was a realistic possibility. But as the election results came in, Democrats actually lost seats in the House of Representatives and only managed to gain one seat in the Senate. However, the two Senate races in Georgia will be decided in January runoffs, giving Democrats some hope of a 50-50 split in the upper chamber of Congress....

The move also comes as COVID-19 cases are on the rise across Michigan and the state has reported some of the highest infection numbers in the nation in the last week. Nikolai Vitti, superintendent of Detroit Public Schools, said in the announcement that the remote days would follow the usual time and school schedule. These tiny stygobitic crustaceans are only around 1mm (0.04 inches) in size, and were found residing in pools of water within two Scottish caves: Smoo Cave in Sutherland and Allt nan Uamh Stream Cave in Assynt. Michigan State lost. More accurately, Middle Tennessee won.
